During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while residents in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, as reported by regional authorities.

Russian forces has increased assaults on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the United States, Europe and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing penalties," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty missiles struck the country's power systems, labeling such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the city endured heavy assaults overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were injured.

The assaults follow periods of bombing campaigns in the region, parts of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to identify.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the national power system, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and officials were bracing for more assaults.
